Before paying anyone for a website audit, run this ten-minute version yourself. It catches the majority of what a paid audit finds, and it is free. For the automated version, our website diagnostic scores five categories instantly, and the real Lighthouse audit runs Google's own live checks.

Minute 1–2: Security

Does your site load with the padlock (HTTPS) — and does the non-HTTPS version redirect to it? A site without SSL is marked "not secure" in Chrome, which ends many visits before they begin. Free certificates exist; there is no excuse in 2026.

Minute 3–4: Titles and Descriptions

Google your business name, then your main service plus your city. Are your titles unique per page, under ~60 characters, and actually persuasive? Fix the failures with the free meta generator — this is the highest-leverage ten minutes in SEO.

Minute 5–6: Mobile Reality Check

Open your site on your actual phone. Can you read the text without zooming? Tap every button with a thumb? Complete your contact form without rage? The majority of your visitors are doing exactly this.

"Most 'we need a redesign' conversations are actually three fixable problems wearing a trench coat."

Minute 7–8: Speed

If your homepage takes more than three seconds on mobile data, you are losing visitors before they see anything. The usual suspects: uncompressed images, autoplay video, and scripts nobody remembers adding.

Minute 9: The Answer Test

Can a stranger answer three questions within five seconds of landing: what do you do, where do you do it, and what should they do next? If any answer requires scrolling or thinking, your homepage has a clarity problem no amount of traffic will fix.

Minute 10: AEO Readiness

Ask an AI assistant "best [your service] in [your city]" — do you appear? AI answers favour sites with structured data, question-format headings, and direct answers. Paste a key page into the content analyzer to see how extractable your content actually is, then work the fixes in priority order.
